TAIYO YUDEN group would like to express our sincere condolences for the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011.
We hereby would like to inform you about our damage situation related to the Great East Japan Earthquake.
TAIYO YUDEN’s subsidiary, That’s Fukushima Co., LTD., the production site for recording media products, has completed restoration of its facilities and we have successfully restored production of our main products, CD-R/DVD-R (including DVD-R DL). Our main focus is now the resumption of production volumes to pre-quake levels.
In addition to the immediate recovery work completed after the quake, we have been working to improve our facilities to be more earthquake resistant and we are creating energy bi-pass and energy-saving functionalities. These efforts will assure more stable operations in the future.
