TAIYO YUDEN group would like to express our sincere condolences for the victims of the Tohoku district-off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011.
We hereby would like to inform you about the damage situation related to the earthquake mentioned above.
As for That’s Fukushima Co.,Ltd., in which the building and equipment were partially damaged, has completed the emergency restoration of its building with the recovery of infrastructures such as electricity. The production of CD-R is restarted and DVD-R is also expected to restart its production in early April.
However, the planned electricity power outage scheduled and implemented by Tokyo Electric Power Company and Tohoku Electric Power Company has had continuous effects on the restoration and the ongoing efficiency of our production.
