Information technology (IT) and electronics-related devices for applications such as PCs, mobile phones, thin large-screen TVs and automobiles have enjoyed unprecedented growth. At the same time, new technologies have been successively created and incorporated into an assortment of products, which enhance convenience and enrich people's lives.
Since our establishment in 1950, Taiyo Yuden has engaged in research, development and production of capacitors, inductors and circuit modules. We also continue to be the market leader in recording media products such as CD-Rs, DVD-Rs, and BD-Rs. Our extensive range of products demonstrate our world-leading support to development and progress in the IT and electronics industries.
Far too often the market takes for granted manufacturers' ability to produce quality products demanded by customers worldwide at the appropriate price, quantity and time. It's also assumed that makers of key technologies will undertake R&D that accurately ascertains required technology and product trends along with making proposals that anticipate customer needs. In reality, however, the continued quest to implement these measures often proves to be surprisingly difficult. With this in mind, each Taiyo Yuden employee makes unceasing efforts to ensure the above-mentioned measures are always thoroughly executed.
Taiyo Yuden owes its existence to the support of its customers, shareholders, members of the local community and its employees. While making company-wide efforts to take on the challenge of stepping up to our next level of growth, we will further solidify bonds with all stakeholders and establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
In the future, we will continue our founding philosophy to devote our efforts to earning the strong trust of our stakeholders based on our marketleading, proprietary technologies and abilities to meet customers' needs.
