Message from the President
TAIYO YUDEN's Management Principles were declared by its founder Mr. Hikohachi Sato, and we can see that he had a strong will power to achieve corporate social responsibility back then.
Business enterprises can not develop all alone, but they evolve along with local communities.50 years ago, our community involvement was confined to Japanese society, but now it has spread worldwide. By this change, we have obtained more opportunities to expand our business and to increase economic value of our products. At the same time, however, the range of our stakeholders has broadened, and their requirements and expectations are growing bigger and deeper.
Turning the opportunities into results which bring in the increase in the economic value, we will also enhance our social value by responding to the stakeholders' requirements and expectations, and achieving our social responsibility. To accomplish this goal, we take responsibility not only for safety and quality of our products, but also for our activities within the company, which are related with labor and human rights, safety and health, environment, and ethics.
We will take over the founder's strong will and steer the company towards further development by ensuring well-being of our employees who are the nearest concern of ours, and by contributing to betterment of people in local communities, and to corporate management which our shareholders can trust.
