Various types of regularly scheduled training are implemented to respond to sudden accidents, disasters, and other risks, with the objectives of early discovery, rapid response, prevention and mitigation.
The TAIYO YUDEN Group reconfirms appropriate procedures and strives for continuous improvement.

Firefighting and Evacuation Training

TAIYO YUDEN (TIANJIN) ELECTRONICS

The fire brigade provided knowledge about firefighting equipment, and hands-on training including extinguishing fires, evacuation drills and medical emergency training.

AKAGI ELECTRONICS

Emergency trainings were held including hose training and fire extinguishing exercises using water fire extinguishers.

Nakanojo Plant

Fire extinguishing exercises were held using real powder fire extinguishers.

Emergency Training for Prevention of Spillage of Chemical Substances

Tamamura Plant

Training was held for the scenario of a leakage during transportation of chemical substances. Exercises in gutter cutoff and recovery of such leaked chemical substances were held.

TAIYO YUDEN MOBILE TECHNOLOGY

Training was held in relevant departments to be able to respond to the leakage of chemical substances from plating equipment. There was confirmation that the response procedures at the time of a leakage are appropriate.

KOREA TONG YANG YUJUN

Diffusion prevention and recovery training was held for the scenario of a leakage of oil due to overturning of a container, in order to be able to respond promptly.

Medical Emergency Training

THAT'S FUKUSHIMA

Broadcasting training, first aid training were held as well as drills for transferring a victim in the case of a person coming in contact with an operating fork lift.

CHUKI SEIKI

First aid lectures were held. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and AED exercises were conducted in order to be able to respond in case of emergency.

KOREA KYONG NAM TAIYO YUDEN

Training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation using chest compression and defibrillation procedures using AED was held in order to improve response in case of emergency.

Removing Soil Contamination

We completed our soil and ground water contamination surveys and made clean-up efforts following the Japanese Ministry of the Environment guidelines in 2003. No surveys were conducted in FY2013.

Environmental Accidents

No accidents affecting the surrounding environment occurred.
