Hikohachi Sato establishes TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD. in Suginami-ku, Tokyo.
Commercializes barium titanate tubular ceramic capasitors and begins sales under the brand name Rutilcon.
1954 Sep. Begins producing small ferrite cores.
1956 May Establishes Takasaki Plant (Currently Egi Plant, Takasaki Global Center) in Takasaki-shi, Gunma.
1958 Oct. Establishes Haruna Plant in Haruna-machi, Gunma-gun, Gunma (Currently in Takasaki-shi).
1964 Sep. Establishes technical research laboratory in Haruna-machi, Gunma-gun, Gunma (Currently in Takasaki-shi).
