A Report of TAIYO YUDEN's Safety and Environment Initiatives in FY2025
TOKYO, July 31, 2026 - TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD. announced today the release of its 2026 Safety & Environmental Report which contains the results of its safety and environmental efforts accomplished in FY2025.
TAIYO YUDEN has published annual Environmental Reports since 2002. This report outlines the Companies efforts and related results on meeting the safety and environmental standards set by the Company. Since 2005, TAIYO YUDEN has been publishing its annual Safety & Environmental Report, which contains additional information relating to occupational health and safety.
Background
The 2026 Safety & Environmental Report presents the newly formulated Medium-Term Environmental Targets and Medium-Term Occupational Health and Safety Targets, as well as the results of our FY2025 initiatives. Under the new Medium-Term Environmental Targets, we aim to reduce GHG emissions (Scope 1+2 and Scope 3, Category 1 and 3) in line with SBT by FY2030 and fully transition to renewable energy by FY2040, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by FY2050 and addressing the global challenge of climate change. To achieve these targets, we are promoting decarbonized manufacturing by thoroughly implementing energy saving, energy creation and utilization of renewable energy and strengthening partnerships with our suppliers.
Under the new Medium-Term Occupational Health and Safety Targets, we have set a goal of zero serious industrial accidents and established a new Medium-Term Occupational Health and Safety Plan to achieve this goal. We are further enhancing our ongoing initiatives in each area of 5Ms (Man, Machine, Method, Material and Measurement) to strengthen our efforts to ensure safety and reduce risks.
TAIYO YUDEN aims to fulfill its social responsibilities and achieve sustainable growth. Recognizing safety and environmental initiatives as material issues, we will continue to promote initiatives in these areas from a global perspective.
