What Is the AEC-Q200?
Automotive Electronic Component Standard: AEC-Q200 Compliant Product Lineup
What is the AEC-Q200?
AEC is an abbreviation of "Automotive Electronics Council" which is an industry organization created by major automobile manufacturers and major electronic component manufacturers. The council was created to standardize the reliability and accreditation criteria for automotive electronic components. The AEC-Qxxx standards have been broadly adopted as automotive electronic component standards. These standards are the de facto industry standards and are classified according to the following component categories:
- ●AEC-Q100: integrated circuits (IC)
- ●AEC-Q101: discrete semiconductor components (transistors, diodes, etc.)
- ●AEC-Q200: passive components (capacitors, inductors, etc.)
AEC-Q200 features
Establishes standards for high reliability, including high temperature/high humidity resistance, thermal shock resistance, and durability.
- Temperature range
- Minimum of -50°C
Maximum of +150°C
