Nakamise Shopping Street in front of the Kawasaki Station
The Nakamise Shopping Street in front of the Kawasaki Station put a lot of effort into burying wires underground, paving with natural stones made in Italy, and adding street lights to create a comfortable streetscape environment. The number of security cameras was increased while maintaining the shopping street scenery using simple installation methods using TAIYO YUDEN's Optical Wireless Communication equipment which does not use wires.

Daiwa Tushin introduced TAIYO YUDEN's Optical Wireless Communication equipment to install 16 security cameras along the roughly 500 meter long Nakamise Shopping Street in front of the Kawasaki Station. The video data was relayed to the office of the local promotional association to satisfy the project requirements at a significantly low cost. Although many cameras were installed, the adjustment of the optical axis was a simple process that required about 15 minutes for each zone.
