Our Efforts

Reducing CO2 Emissions

Solar Water Heater Project [TAIYO YUDEN (Philippines)]

Efforts to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions are being carried out at TAIYO YUDEN (Philippines). Solar water heaters were installed to make use of a renewable energy source. The project has led to a significant reduction in energy consumption and has limited CO2 emissions.

CO2 Reductions by Converting Boiler Fuel [Haruna Plant]

A boiler previously run on kerosene was converted to run on LPG as fuel. The switchover is estimated to reduce CO2 emissions by 6,488t/year.

Reducing Waste

Recycling Organic Solvents [TAIYO YUDEN (Philippines)]

At TAIYO YUDEN (Philippines), equipment was installed to collect and recover organic solvents, enabling 80% of solvent to be reused. At the same time it has reduced the amount of waste generated.

Reducing Water Consumption

Wastewater Reuse [Chuki Seiki]

Wastewater recovered from water purification equipment is reused for flushing toilets, replacing a 100% reliance on city water, thereby reducing daily noncommercial water consumption by 30%.
