Achieving high-speed communication through LEDs
The communication speed of Optical Wireless Communication using general-purpose LEDs is typically 10 Mbps or less. However, TAIYO YUDEN developed its own technology which increases the communication speed by approximately 10 times.
The upper limit for the modulation frequency of standard LEDs is about several MHz
communication without using special LEDs
When LED light is flashed at high speed (as many as 100 million times per second), the waveform distorts. Using its own unique technology, TAIYO YUDEN accelerated the speed by compensating for the waveform distortion which occurs at high speeds.
