TAIYO YUDEN Obtains Certification from Information Security Assessment Mechanism TISAX

TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD. has obtained Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) certification, an information security assessment framework established by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).
TISAX is an international assessment mechanism that conducts standardized evaluations of information security in the supply chain of the automotive industry. This certification can be referenced by automobile and component manufacturers that are VDA members, and there is a trend toward it being required as a condition for supplier selection and ongoing transactions.

Background
The TAIYO YUDEN Group properly manages the information assets entrusted from customers and others as well as the information assets retained by our Group, is aware that the maintenance and improvement of information security is an important issue for the management, and will continue engaging with information security measures.
As part of these activities, the head office of TAIYO YUDEN and our Tamamura Plant have now obtained TISAX certification. Furthermore, our domestic unified locations (The Head Office and Takasaki Global Center) have already obtained ISO/IEC27001, and this certification has now also been obtained by five domestic sales offices and six overseas sales offices.
Obtaining these certifications through third-party organizations guarantees the quality of our Group's information security, and shows that we are capable of appropriately safeguarding the information assets of customers and the Group through the reduction of risks and other initiatives.
Going forward, we will endeavor to maintain and improve information security in the Group, and advance efforts to expand the scope of certification obtainment.
