A Report of TAIYO YUDEN's Safety and Environment Activities in FY2024
TOKYO, July 31, 2025 - TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD. announced today the release of its 2025 Safety & Environmental Report which contains the results of its safety and environmental efforts accomplished in FY2024.
TAIYO YUDEN has published annual Environmental Reports since 2002. This report outlines the Companies efforts and related results on meeting the safety and environmental standards set by the Company. Since 2005, TAIYO YUDEN has been publishing its annual Safety & Environmental Report, which contains additional information relating to occupational health and safety.
Background
We are committed to manufacturing that is based on the principle of decarbonization, with the goal of carbon neutrality to address the global challenge of climate change. In this context, and in a bid to achieve the 1.5 degrees Celsius target agreed upon at COP26, we created a set of targets for reducing GHG emissions over the medium term up to FY 2030, which was certified by the SBTi as a Near-Term Target commitment*1 in FY2024. Toward the aforementioned goal, we will implement substantial measures for energy conservation and creation as well as renewable energy utilization.
At the same time, we are also aiming to achieve our medium-term occupational health and safety targets for FY 2025 by further improving the standards of our health and safety activities through the formulation and undertaking of goals for each of the 5Ms (Man, Machine, Method, Material and Measurement).

We recognize that efforts toward safety and the environment are an integral part of how we conduct our business and an important responsibility that we are fully committed to meeting. We will continue to promote safety and environmental activities from a global perspective.
*1. Certification granted by SBTi for targets pertaining to:
Scopes 1 and 2: 42% reduction by FY2030 (compared to FY2020)
Scope 3 (Category 1 and 3): 25% reduction by FY2030 (compared to FY2021)
