In compliance with the Personal Information Protection Law, as well as TAIYO YUDEN CO., LTD. (“TAIYO YUDEN” or “the Company”) corporate policies, and in recognition of the fact that the protection of personal information is an important part of a company’s social responsibility, TAIYO YUDEN pledges to conduct all of its business affairs in good faith, and in keeping with the trust placed in the Company.
- TAIYO YUDEN collects personal information through legal and fair means, using such information within the scope of purposes communicated at the time such information was provided by the individual, and only as necessary for the performance of Company business.
- TAIYO YUDEN will never provide personal information to any third party, other than as required under the Personal Information Protection Law.
TAIYO YUDEN shall put appropriate information security measures in place to prevent the loss, destruction/ alteration, leakage and/ or unauthorized access to personal information, making best efforts to ensure the safety and maintain the accuracy of personal information.
Inquiries and Requests
In the event that the Company is asked by an individual to disclose, amend, or cease the usage of the individual's information, the Company shall respect the rights of the individual to their own personal information, responding professionally and in good faith to said request through the appropriate Company service desk.
- TAIYO YUDEN shall appoint individuals responsible for the management each type of information collected. At the same time, the Company communicates the importance of protecting personal information to Company officers and employees, ensuring consistently legal and proper handling of personal information during daily business activities.
- TAIYO YUDEN shall continue to review company policies in response to changes in the law and the social environment, maintaining and/ or improving the system for the management of personal information.
