Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index

Built with the data and scoring methodology of Equileap, "GenDi J" is designed to emphasize the stocks of companies that have strong gender diversity policies embedded in their corporate culture and that ensure equal opportunities to employees, irrespective of their gender. Companies are divided into five equally sized groups based on their Gender Equality Score.

In the 2026 EcoVadis sustainability assessment, TAIYO YUDEN Group was awarded the Bronze Medal, which is granted to companies ranked within the top 35% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis.

TAIYO YUDEN appointed a Chief Healthcare Officer (CHO) and established a "Health Promotion Committee" to promote employee health. The company was selected as one of the Outstanding Organizations of KENKO Investment for Health (White 500) by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

TAIYO YUDEN was certified as "Kurumin" in 2021. Recognized as a company that is working on child-rearing support at a high level, it was certified as "Platinum Kurumin" on July 25, 2023.

TAIYO YUDEN Group has implemented activities to comply with the RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) Code of Conduct, which is a code of conduct related to social responsibility. Flow of Audit

The auditee sites complete a self-assessment questionnaire created by the RBA to understand their internal conditions. The results are summarized by the RBA-VAP audit control department of the Group, and corrective actions are implemented at the auditee sites. An internal audit is conducted based on RBA-VAP audit standards, and after that, an initial RBA-VAP audit is conducted as a third-party evaluation. Non-conformances found in the audit are corrected according to the corrective plan, and to confirm the validity, a closure RBA-VAP audit is conducted.

Certification

The results of the RBA-VAP audit are issued with certifications based on scores: Platinum (200 points), Gold (180 points or more), and Silver (160 points or more).
In FY2025, TAIYO YUDEN Haruna Plant, TAIYO YUDEN Tamamura Plant, TAIYO YUDEN Chemical Technology and ELNA Shirakawa Plant received Gold certification in their initial audits.
At the sites where non-conformities were pointed out, improvements were recognized as a result of the closure audit, and they achieved the highest level of Platinum certification.
The certification is valid for two years from the initial audit.
