FTSE Blossom Japan Index is a stock price index compiled by FTSE Russell in the UK. It is composed of Japanese companies that meet global environmental, social and governance standards.

FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

The FTSE Blossom SR is a general ESG index that screens stocks based on FTSE Russell's ESG ratings as well as assessment of magnitude of environmental damage by companies, and companies' management attitude toward climate change risks.

MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index

MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index is a stock price index compiled by MSCI Inc. in the United States. It is composed of the companies with high ESG rating from environmental, social, and governance perspectives in each.

MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN)

The MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index is an index compiled by MSCI Inc. The index includes Japanese companies with high gender diversity scores thanks to their promotion of women in the workplace.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index

The S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index is an index compiled by the Tokyo Stock Exchange and S&P Dow Jones Indices (US). Companies included are selected based on their disclosure of environment-related information and their carbon efficiency standards. The Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) of Japan has selected this index as a core ESG index.

Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index

Built with the data and scoring methodology of Equileap, "GenDi J" is designed to emphasize the stocks of companies that have strong gender diversity policies embedded in their corporate culture and that ensure equal opportunities to employees, irrespective of their gender. Companies are divided into five equally sized groups based on their Gender Equality Score.

The FTSE4Good Index Series is an index compiled by FTSE Russell (UK). The index includes companies that have demonstrated strong Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices that are based on global standards.

iSTOXX MUTB Japan Platinum Career 150 Index

The iSTOXX MUTB Japan Platinum Carrier 150 Index was jointly developed by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation and STOXX, an index provider affiliated with the Deutsche Börse Group. The index includes Japanese companies that actively contribute to employee career development by evaluating three aspects: long term view, active learning and social contribution.

SOMPO Sustainability Index

The SOMPO Sustainability Index is an index compiled by SOMPO Asset Management. The index is composed of Japanese companies with strong ESG performance evaluations and stock valuations.

Received EcoVadis "Silver Rating"

TAIYO YUDEN received “Silver” rating, recognition as one of the top 25% of all the companies evaluated worldwide, in EcoVadis sustainability survey in 2023.

Selected for Inclusion in CDP’s “Climate Change A List”

TAIYO YUDEN certified CDP’s* “Climate Change A List” companies, receiving the highest rating as a company excellent in climate change-related measures, strategies and information disclosure from the international environmental NPO in 2022.

*Founded in 2000, CDP is a non-governmental organization (NGO) managed by UK charities that operates a global disclosure system for investors, businesses, nations, regions and cities to manage their environmental impacts, including reducing their own greenhouse gas emissions, protecting water resources and protecting forests.

Selection of Health & Productivity Stock, White 500

TAIYO YUDEN appointed a Chief Healthcare Officer (CHO) and has set up a "Health Promotion Committee" and is working to promote the health of its employees. "Certified Health & Productivity management Organization (White 500)" is given to companies by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

Sports Yell Company

Certified by the Japan Sports Agency as a company that promotes exercise in the workplace.

Certified as a Platinum Kurumin employer

TAIYO YUDEN was certified as "Kurumin" in 2021. Recognized as a company that is working on child-rearing support at a high level, it was certified as "Platinum Kurumin" on July 25, 2023. For more details, please see.

RBA-VAP Audit

TAIYO YUDEN Group has implemented activities to comply with the RBA (Responsible Business Alliance) Code of Conduct, which is a code of conduct related to social responsibility. We regularly have the RBA-VAP audit as third-party evaluation to enhance level of labor, ethics, health and safety, and environment continually.

At first, the auditee-sites answer the self-assessment questionnaire created by RBA, to confirm the compliance level of RBA Code of Conduct. The results are summarized in the audit control department of the Group, and corrective action is made. An internal audit is conducted based on RBA-VAP audit standards, and after that, RBA-VAP audit is conducted as third-party evaluation. Non-conformances found in the audit is corrected according to the corrective plan, and to confirm the validity, a closure audit is conducted.
