We set medium-term environmental targets for the Group, and all sites pursue environment impact improvement.
TAIYO YUDEN Group Environmental Targets and Results
In the Medium-Term Management Plan 2025, we identified strengthening responses to
climate change and effective use of resources and contribution to building a recycling-oriented society as
material issues in our environmental initiatives. In particular, we have established targets aimed at
achieving carbon neutrality in response to climate change, a global challenge. To achieve these targets,
we will continue to promote manufacturing based on the principle of decarbonization by thoroughly
implementing energy conservation, energy creation, and renewable energy initiatives.
To reduce the
absolute value of GHG emissions, we have set target values in accordance with the 1.5°C SBT (Science Based
Targets), and they have been approved by the SBTi as the Near-Term Targets.

New Medium-Term Environmental Targets
As FY2025 is the final year of the Medium-Term Environmental Targets, we have established new Medium-Term Environmental Targets.
Initiatives and Target Values of the Taiyo Yuden Group's New Medium-Term Environmental Targets
In the Medium-Term Management Plan 2030, we identified strengthening responses to climate change and effective use of resources and contribution to building a recycling-oriented society as material issues in our environmental initiatives as we work to enhance corporate value through both economic and social value. In particular, in response to climate change, which is a global challenge, we have set targets aimed at achieving carbon neutrality for Scope 1+2 emissions by 2050, SBT-level reductions in Scope 1+2 and Scope 3 emissions by FY2030, and a 100% renewable energy adoption rate by FY2040. To achieve these targets, in addition to thoroughly implementing energy conservation, energy generation, and renewable energy initiatives in the course of promoting manufacturing based on the concept of decarbonization, we will work to strengthen collaboration with suppliers.
